Have you ever sat down to make a family travel bucket list of everywhere you want to travel in your lifetime, and just gotten completely overwhelmed (and perhaps a bit discouraged) at just how many places there are you’d like to visit? This happened to me a few years ago, and I admit that I was a little bit frustrated – I want to travel and see so many places, but there’s never enough time or money, and I know there’s no chance I’ll get everywhere.
So I created a family travel bucket list, with the self-imposed caveat that I would only allow 50 places to be on there at a time. Over the past couple of years, places have gone from the list or been added, and both my husband and kids have contributed places that they’ve come across on TV or read about. I like the list because it feels doable; seeing 50 places in my lifetime seems manageable, I like that I can add to the list as I cross other places off, and I love looking through it when planning new trips.
So I thought I’d share our family travel bucket list with you guys in case it’s helpful to you, and maybe there’s somewhere on there that you haven’t been to yet!
I’ve added notes for the things we’ve managed to cross off our list so far, along with posts I’ve written about those places.

I love the idea of a travel bucket list! Some of these I've done, but so many of them I have not. So many cool places in the world I want to visit!

That was my problem, too many awesome places I want to see, I was getting so overwhelmed! This at least puts a somewhat doable list down on paper!

I love this post so hard, partly because I've done some of the stuff on this list, like sanibel shells, eiffel tower and bora bora. But there are so many places I want to go. I live in NY and have never been inside the State of Liberty!
