If you are a Harry Potter fan, then one of the best things about visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort might be getting to try some of the amazing treats that you’re sure to recognize from the books and the movies. This summer, these are my favorite snacks from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter that will transport any Harry Potter fan back to their favorite book or movie!

Frozen butterbeer

If you are a Harry Potter fan, then butterbeer will probably be one of the treats you’re looking forward to the most!
There are a number of places you can get butterbeer in both Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley, and although you can get butterbeer both frozen or straight up, I would definitely recommend going with the frozen butterbeer. Not only will this help keep you cool (and is a great way to beat the heat at Universal Orlando during the summer!) but I think it tastes a lot better than the regular butterbeer, which can sometimes be a little on the sweet side.
The recipe for butterbeer came from J.K. Rowling herself, so you know it’s the real deal; it’s sweet and creamy with just a hint of butter, and is absolutely delicious – definitely the number one snack for the ultimate Harry Potter fan!
Strawberry peanut butter ice cream

Another great summer time treat can be found at Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream parlor in Diagon Alley, which has over 20 different flavors of ice cream to help keep you cool.
Of course for the ultimate Harry Potter fan, the go to flavor should probably be the strawberry peanut butter, which Harry Potter and his friends eat in Diagon Alley in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. This is essentially strawberry ice cream with just a hint of peanut butter, creamy and fruity with a little sweetness, and super refreshing on a hot day!
Other flavors include butterbeer flavor (naturally!), clotted cream, chocolate chili, and even sticky toffee pudding! This will probably be one of the biggest hits with your kids if they’re Harry Potter fans – mine go crazy for this ice cream!
Pumpkin Juice

Another snack from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter that you’ll instantly recognize as a Harry Potter fan is the famous pumpkin juice! I always thought pumpkin juice sounded a little strange when I read the books so I was nervous to try it, but it’s actually really refreshing and perfect as a summer snack.
Pumpkin juice tastes a little like orange juice, but with a hint pumpkin spice that adds a little more depth and can be found at any of the outdoor food carts – it also makes for a super cute souvenir since it comes in an adorable bottle!
Gilly Water and Elixrs

Eternelle’s Elixir of Refreshments is a little drinks stand tucked away in Diagon Alley that it would be very easy to walk through, but I would highly recommend stopping to pick up a drink from here!
Here you can pick up a regular bottle of Gilly Water, and then pick from one of four elixirs to add color and flavor to the drink; these include the Draught of Peace (blue raspberry flavor) and Fire Protection Potion (strawberry and watermelon flavor).
The exilirs come in small vials that you can take away with you; this means that you can add these to additional drinks later (since it only takes a few drops to change the color and flavor of a whole bottle of Gilly Water) and would make for a very cute souvenir to take home to a friend.
Otter’s Fizzy Orange Juice

While there are a number of great alcoholic beverages from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter (including exclusive beers made just for The Wizarding World and even Fire Whiskey), there are also some really great non-alcoholic drinks inspired by the Harry Potter books and movies.
The Hopping Pot in Diagon Alley is one of my favorite places to get a non-alcoholic beverage in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter because there are tables outside and if you’re lucky, you might get to catch a performance by Celestina Warbeck or see the Tale of the Three Brothers being performed across the street.
My favorite of the non-alcoholic drinks is Otter’s Fizzy Orange Juice, which is light and refreshing and the perfect summer drink. It tastes like a lighter version of an orange creamsicle with a cinnamon sugar rim and you get a surprisingly large serving that is made to order.
Other favorite non-alcoholic drinks from The Hopping Pot include Tongue Tying Lemon Squash (which tastes like a light lemonade) and Peachtree Fizzing Tea (which is like a peach iced tea). These drinks are perfect for the summer and totally unique to The Wizarding World!
Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans

Getting to visit Honeydukes in Hogsmeade is one of my favorite things about visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter! There are so many incredible delectable treats in here, and I know I can spend ages wandering around choosing what to buy!
Although one of my favorite sweets will always be the chocolate frogs, these aren’t a great summer snack; they melt very quickly!
In my mind, the best authentic Harry Potter snack are the Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans. These are one of the stand out snacks from the books, and getting to try some of the unique flavors is so exciting for any Harry Potter fan.
Just like in the books, some of the flavors can be a little unusual so take caution, but they are a great summer snack and make for a great souvenir since they come in this cute little box!
Beef Pasties

If you’re looking for a summer snack that’s a little bit more substantial, the beef pasties from The Hopping Pot in Diagon Alley are my favorites. These are a small portion of three warm pasties filled with beef, onions and vegetables in a rick savory sauce.
They make for a great summer snack from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, especially if you’re looking for a shareable snack, and are super authentic if you’re looking for traditional British food.
If you don’t want anything warm in the hot summer weather, try the pumpkin pasty instead (which you can find in Honeydukes) – these are super popular in the books and have a great, slightly sweet pumpkin spice flavor.
If you’re looking for summer snacks from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, these are great options that you’re sure to recognize from the Harry Potter books and movies!
